"I work creatively with the client’s own strengths."

About me

I moved to Munich from England in 2018. In the UK I work as an experienced art therapist, registered with both the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT) with over 20 years of therapeutic experience in delivery of group and individual art therapy / psychotherapy for the NHS and in private practice.

I am pleased to have a well-developed clinical practice which includes traditional talking- therapy methods and/or including creative mediums as well. My therapeutic style can be described as psychodynamic however I can apply aspects of Mentalization-based Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy and Jungian-informed approach in response to client needs.

Therapeutic stance

I work creatively with the client’s own strengths to encourage self-curiosity and accompany them whilst they express and communicate their experience. Every person has their own narrative and I like to take up a position alongside them whilst they explore, acknowledge, confront and seek new ways forward.

This is the creative process and in the therapeutic relationship, metaphor and personal narrative can be used to share and explore difficult and complex emotions in a safe way. Clients do not need to have any previous experience or expertise in art. Please note: Services are provided in English.
