MSc Psychology – Mental Health Counselor & Coach

Languages: Fluent English, Native Turkish & Kurdish

About me

I’ve been working as a Mental Health Counsellor and Coach over 4 years, supporting adults who are navigating anxious mood, trauma events and residue, and major life disruptions. Much of my work has focused on immigrants and individuals affected by emergency situations and trauma, where fear, loss, and uncertainty can continue long after the event itself.

My approach is mainly psychodynamic, informed by psychoanalytic and attachment-based thinking. I’m interested in getting to the emotional roots of what you’re experiencing, while creating a warm, non-judgmental space where things don’t have to be rushed. Sessions are reflective and collaborative—we take time to understand patterns, feelings, and relationships rather than focusing only on surface-level symptoms.

I work particularly well with immigrants, displaced individuals, and people who feel emotionally overwhelmed, disconnected, or “stuck” without knowing exactly why. Many of my clients are thoughtful, sensitive people who want to understand themselves more deeply and make sense of their inner world.

I offer online sessions in English, Turkish, and Kurmanji, and I work under ongoing clinical supervision. I believe meaningful change happens through a steady therapeutic relationship, where you feel seen, heard, and met at your own pace.
